Volunteer sign ups for HighLight are now open!
Volunteering with HighLight: Carnival of Lights is great fun. You’ll get to meet the team behind HighLight, be on the ground supporting the delivery of the Carnival and get to experience the Carnival in a new light.
HighLight runs for 3 days, Easter Weekend 29-31 March 2024, with our Low Sensory night on 28 March. Register your interest now and we’ll be in touch again closer to the Carnival with more information.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
We will get you to fill in a contact information sheet. All HighLight volunteers are required to supply their details and agree to let us know if they are unable to attend their shift. We need commitment from you to help us make this Carnival great.
WHEN WE MIGHT NEED YOU
We will need volunteers to help us throughout the Carnival, the evenings of Thursday 28 – Sunday 31 March 2024.
5:30pm through to 10:30pm.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Volunteers will help ensure event goers have an enjoyable experience, by assisting them in safely spectating or participating in the activity where they are assigned. Tasks will vary but include:
- Pack in crew
- Gate staff
- General volunteers
- Stage manager
- Social media assistant
- Pack out crew
TRAINING
All key information to carry out the volunteer roles will be sent digitally. There will be opportunity to attend Q&A sessions in the weeks prior to the event.
WHAT YOU’LL GET
We will make sure you get fed each night you’re volunteering. Plus, you’ll get a ticket to give to a friend or to enjoy on a night you’re rostered off.
